Tut – The Colors of Joy

Wilma4ever Colors Of Joy

This tutorial is my own creation and based on my own ideas. Any and all similarities with any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

Please do not upload to or offer this tutorial on any other site without asking me first. Thank you.

Material you will need:

PaintshopPro – I'm using PSP X2, but you should be able to follow the tutorial in any version.

A scrap kit – I used another awesome kit by Wilma aka Wilma4ever, which you can purchase here.

2 tubes of your choice – I used Posertubes made by me which are included in the material.

A mask –I used WSL Mask218, created by Weescotslass, which is also included in the material. Check out her blog here for further masks.

A font of your choice.

You can find the material here.

Now, let's get started. It might be helpful if you choose the elements you wish to use beforehand, and open them up in PSP prior to starting the tutorial. That way, you have them handy when following each step.

Also, you don't have to slavishly follow each positioning nor setting – play and experiment a bit, especially if you use different elements.

If you are unsure how to position an element, refer back to my sample tag.

Open a new image, 650x 750, transparent background.

Open bow3-wilma4ever, copy & past as new layer.

Open your first tube, copy & past as new layer, move this layer underneath the frame layer, resize and position to your liking.

Highlight your frame layer, and with your Magic Wand, click inside the frame.

Selections – Modify – Expand by 2.

Selections – Invert and make sure you are on your tube layer now, hit "Delete".

Selections – Invert, new layer, move this layer (it ought to be underneath your frame, but above your tube layer) if necessary.

Move the second flower underneath the first, and a bit down.

Highlight the bottom layer, and create new layer.

Selections – Select all.

Open paper3-wilma4ever, copy&paste into selection.

Selections – Select none.

Layers – Load/Save Mask – find the WSL_Mask218 (or one of your choosing).

Fit to layer, show all mask & Source luminance are checked; Invert transparency NOT checked.

Merge group.

I used the Deformation Tool to adjust the mask layer to my liking. Feel free to use the Deformation Tool, or simply resize to your liking and position where you like it best.

Feel free to add any additional elements you'd like to use.

Once you are done, make sure you have everything positioned just as you would like it to look on your tag.

Add your watermark and your text.

Merge visible layers.

Crop your image and resize to your liking.

If you prefer a transparent background, save your tag in PNG format.

Otherwise, if you select the JPG, it will automatically add a white background.

Should you care for a different colored background, after you merged all layers visible:

New layer, arrange, send to bottom, and floodfill with your color of choice.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

XOXOXO,

Dani
